This one’s a doozy. We’re truly thrilled to team up with the Wellcome Book Prize, the literary prize for the incurably curious, on the eve of the shortlist announcement for 2017. Chair of the judges and our favourite crime author, VAL MCDERMID, will be joined by longlisted authors ADAM RUTHERFORD, whose ‘A Brief History Of Everyone Who Ever Lived’ is a dazzling tour of the latest genetic discoveries, and JO MARCHANT, whose ‘Cure’ is a ground-breaking analysis of the age old mind/ body conundrum. There’ll be poetry from MARTIN FIGURA, misbehaviour from SALENA GODDEN, magic from PETE FIRMAN, and music from the remarkable talent that is LUCY ROSE and the talentedly remarkable BULLION.
