Book Slam

The Grand

After an unseemly two-month absence (it just took us so long to work out whom we wanted not to vote for least), Book Slam was back with a cracking line-up. The brilliant LOUISE WELSH was there, introducing us to the second instalment of the Plague Times trilogy, 'Death Is A Welcome Guest'. So was our old pal (we so wish) HADLEY FREEMAN - Guardian columnist and author of 'Life Moves Pretty Fast', which has the utterly excellent subtitle 'The lessons we learned from eighties movies (and why we don't learn them from movies any more)'. Poetry came from the Young Poet Laureate for London, AISLING FAHEY, hosting duties were taken by our favourite gunslinger, FELICITY WARD ...
