Nick Laird
The recipient of many prizes for poetry and fiction, including the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature, the Ireland Chair of Poetry Award, the Betty Trask Prize, a Somerset Maugham award, and the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize, Nick came down to Book Slam @ 12 Acklam Road in March 2009 to read from his brilliant novel, 'Glover's Mistake'.
